Is Your PLR Collecting E-dust?

Jimmy D. Brown tells an interesting story about a conversation he had with his 10 year old son (Jacob) that really resonates with me. I think you’ll find that it will speak to YOU about YOUR business as well. It went something like this:

Jacob: Dad, I want to get a new DVD.
Jimmy: What? You literally have over a 100 DVDs, go watch one of them.
Jacob: Can I get a new video game instead?
Jimmy: What about the one you bought two weeks ago … you haven’t beaten it yet.
Jacob: When are you going to get me an electric guitar?
Jimmy: You need to learn how to play your acoustic guitar first.
As this conversation played out, I found myself getting a little frustrated with Jacob. He has sooooo much and yet it seems like much of it is tossed aside soon after he receives he in want of something else.
As I was thinking about this conversation, I realized that Jacob’s just ten years old. And while I am actively teaching him about important life lessons such as contentment and responsibility, at the end of the day É he’s just ten years old. He’ll learn. For now, he’s just a kid who hasn’t gotten it all figured out yet.
While it may be fine for a ten year old to be on the threshold of discovering these valuable lessons, it’s another thing for adults to struggle with this issue at their own expense and the expense of others they care about.
I’m speaking of business.
I see this same kind of thing play out over and over again with clients.
They buy PLR content and then go buy more PLR content without ever really using the 100′s that they already have.
They buy a new PLR offer when they haven’t used the one they bought two weeks ago.
They buy more PLR content when they haven’t learned how to use the stuff they already have purchased.
What they buy gets tossed aside soon after they buy it and it’s off to buy something else.
